What does the near future of the insurance industry look like in concrete terms? This is what insureNXT wants to discuss with its community on 18 and 19 May 2022 in Cologne and on the web. At the congress, international top speakers from the industry will be waiting for the visitors: An overview of international trends and developments will be provided by Gil Arazi (Founder and General Partner, FinTLV), Florian Graillot (Founder and General Partner, Astorya.IO), Donald Lacey (Chief Investment Officer, Ping An), InsurTech thought leader Roger Peverelli (DIA) and Sabine Vander-Linden (Co-Founder and CEO, Alchemy Crew).

In addition to new products and services, numerous new business models have emerged in recent years. At insureNXT, Carlo Bewersdorf (CEO iptiQ, Swiss Re) will show the possibilities of a digital insurance platform and introduce participants to the topic of “embedded insurance”. In addition, digital expert and former Adidas manager Stephanie Peterson (Chief Customer Officer, AXA Germany) will speak on the topic of Customer Centricity. Uwe Schöpe (Chief Human Resources Officer and Labour Director, Zurich Group Germany) will shed light on the topic of New Work Insights from the perspective of a leading European insurer. In a keynote speech on “NXT|Trends Global Life”, Dr Frieder Knüpling (CEO, Scor Global Life) will present future opportunities and challenges from a reinsurance perspective on the life/health ecosystem.

From established insurance companies to start-ups and cross-industry partners: insureNXT has set itself the goal of bringing together all market participants. Visitors can also look forward to a Fireside Chat with Carsten Maschmeyer. Among other things, the top manager and investor will talk about the next big challenges in the insurance world. Sustainability also plays an important role at insureNXT: Tim Schumacher (Managing General Partner, World Fund), for example, will present a sustainable and future-proof business concept on 18 May and Sabine VanderLinden will give an insight into best practices in environmental social governance on 19 May.

insureNXT Innovators Award: Applications still open until 28 February

As part of insureNXT 2022, organisers Koelnmesse and Insurlab Germany will for the first time jointly honour innovations in the insurance industry. Interested individuals, start-ups and established companies can still apply with concrete projects until 28 February on the insureNXT website. Submissions for the insureNXT Innovators Award are possible in a total of five categories: Insurance, Tech + Start-up, Cross Industry, Science and Collaboration.

insureNXT Innovators Award: The audience votes on 24 March

From the submissions received, a total of ten applications will be selected for the shortlist. The selected top 10 entries will present their innovative projects and successes live and digitally on 24 March at insureNXT impulse, the remote event for insureNXT. The audience will then vote for an audience award. At the same time, a jury of experts made up of selected representatives of the insureNXT Advisors will select a total of three award winners. The award ceremony for the audience and jury winners will take place on the evening of 18 May 2022 at insureNXT in Cologne.

And with the insureNXT Innovators Award, we are establishing a prize that deliberately aims to give insurance innovations a bigger stage. Our goal is to connect insurers with start-ups and international tech service providers to jointly create synergies for a digital ecosystem,” says Sebastian Pitzler, Managing Director of co-organiser InsurLab Germany.

Tickets for insureNXT 2022 are now available online and at an Early Bird price until 18 March. The discounted ticket for the congress costs from 995 euros for both days, tickets for the expo are available from 85 euros.
