Who we are

Bdeo was founded in 2017 by Julio & Manuel, two serial entrepreneurs with wide experience building B2B Saas companies within the Insurance Industry. We are proud to be backed up by two of the most relevant VC funds in Spain: Kfund & Big Sur, who are absolutely involved with the business and the team.

We are a team of 70 people today, Located in Spain, Germany, United Kingdom and Mexico absolutely engaged and committed (average NPS last 12 months: 68).

👩‍👩‍👧‍👦 We have grown from a team of 20 people two years ago to a team of 70 today, and we are still growing.

🌍 We have gone from being located in Spain and Mexico to opening markets in Europe and Latin America. Currently, our team is located in Spain, Mexico, Germany, France and the UK. Although we have more than 11 nationalities within the team, which means that we are committed to multiculturalism. This makes us much richer.

We will be a team of about 120 people in less than one year from now.

 

🔝 About the role
At Bdeo we are disrupting the insurance industry thanks to our deep learning & machine learning solutions, both for motor and property markets.

 

  • You will be part of our highly motivated data scientists team with strong skills in the visual intelligence domain and wide experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms.
  • You will work with a product-oriented agile squad, and focus on designing, implementing, training, testing and deploying new and innovative AI solutions.
  • You will collaborate with talented people from different backgrounds such as data engineers, product managers, software engineers, QA engineers.
  • You will foresee AI challenges, participate in the definition and development of innovative AI solutions and guide less experienced data scientists to accomplish goals as a team.
  • You will promote and contribute to share and spread knowledge and best practices across the team.

👉🏾 About you
Requirements:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Math or related fields.
  • 2+ years of professional experience on data science.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Solid knowledge of Deep Learning (theoretically and practically), especially with Computer Vision and NLP techniques.
  • Strong skills in a Deep Learning framework (Pytorch, Tensorflow…).
  • Capability to understand scientific papers of the SOTA.
  • Industry experience working on machine learning.
  • Clear understanding of the pipeline to make models into production.
  • Eager to keep improving yourself with the latest technologies.
  • Eager to solve challenging tasks.
  • Fluent in English written and spoken.

Optional requirements:

  • Experience in cloud services.
  • MSc in Data Science or related fields.
  • Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience using RestAPI frameworks.
  • Experience using Docker.

🔝About the role

  • You will have the opportunity to participate in the definition and development (frontend/backend) of a powerful solution based totally on Javascript with serverless and microservices where we use NodeJS/Typescript with Amazon in the backend and Angular in the frontend).
  • We are already working on a major change in our architecture to use Microfrontends and Clean Architecture. We hope you be part of these changes and participate in decisions on how to design and implement them.
  • You will join a bunch of inspiring and hard-working people (product, design, front, and back-end experts, QA engineers) designing, developing, testing, and deploying components with a focus on high availability, low latency, and easy scalability.
  • You will work closely with our Artificial Intelligence and Data team. So if you are interested in knowing more about how Artificial Intelligence is changing the way we work and live, you will very much enjoy the ride.

🙌 Responsibilities

  • Participating in the design and creation of a scalable SaaS platform.
  • Writing clean, functional code on the front- and back-end.
  • Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture.
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design.
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
  • Write robust, efficient, and secure APIs.
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
  • Create security and data protection settings.
  • Collaborate to create and maintain CI / CD pipelines for automation and deployment processes.
  • Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.

👉 About You:

  • Required degree (it is preferred technical formation).
  • 4+ years of experience in development teams of apps based on Javascript.
  • Knowledge of Angular 6+ ( preferred), React, Vue or any other major frontend development framework.
  • Git advanced knowledge.
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CS33 and SASS
  • Knowledge of CSS grid and Flexbox.
  • Knowledge of Javascript / NodeJS / Typescript, especially with asynchronous operations.
  • Experience working with Agile methods.
  • Additional knowledge of Angular.js
  • Testing of Javascript apps.
  • CI/CD knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of AWS or any other major cloud provider.
  • Be proactive, engage in collaborative work in a cross-functional agile team.
  • Work both on new features and verification and optimizations of current ones.

We are developing products focused on automating property and motor claims.

How insurers manage a claim is one of the most sensitive touch points in terms of customer loyalty. We want to help companies reduce the time between the notification of a claim and its resolution. Our goal is to provide technological solutions that allow companies to automate processes, be more efficient, and improve customer expectations.

As QA Lead You will drive the quality of the company’s products to the level we aim to reach as well as improve the internal processes for making it happen. To become a team player and an assertive lead a

  • You will lead and be the reference of Bdeo QA Team.
  • You will be the reference on overall Test Automation for Bdeo IT team.
  • You will lead the quality culture of the company and be a big influence in how the company is driving its development and testing efforts for building high-quality products.
  • You will solve technical testing problems that may arise during the SDLC of our products, as well as find and build the best quality processes that fit our development needs.
  • You will define best practices and guide the team in the development of quality culture and having a smooth SDLC.
  • You will work following agile principles and frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.

👉🏾 About you.

  • You have at least 2 years of experience leading QA Teams.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in test automation.
  • You have experience in test plan management, manual testing, and regression testing.
  • You have experience in the development of automated testing of both FRONTEND and APIs, not only on the E2E side but also on the integration and unit ones.
  • You have experience in Performance and Security testing, as well as other types of non-functional testing.
  • You feel really comfortable using NodeJS and architecting testing solutions.
  • You are a strong advocate of the collaboration between all the roles of the team for reaching a common goal.
  • You have experience with DevOps and CI/CD best practices.
  • You have experience using/configuring Cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • You have experience in running tests on terminal farms.
  • You have experience working with automated testing development frameworks based on Javascript such as:
    • Cypress
    • Jest
    • Playwright
    • Webdriverio
